Build from the Ground Up!
While this planet is has been around for billions of years, humans have been around for a ridiculously small fraction of its timeline. In that time, we've done a lot to change the landscape, and have learned learned a lot along the way. One of the interesting things about science, though, is we'll never be done with it.
There's always more to learn!
With that in mind, when considering the Earth, there are probably some baseline concepts to understand. We want to provide some engaging material to introduce these concepts in a way that sticks with people. Let's take a look!
Populations |
EcologyLife is possible on Earth for many reasons, but among these factors, understanding where all life's energy comes from is key. We'll also discover how organisms are regulated through their population behaviors and their interactions with other organisms. Let's all find out how everything gets along with each other!

CyclesThere are plenty of functions that the Earth provides free of charge. The core systems that have allowed life to take hold on this planet take the form of our biogeochemical cycles. You may have remembered a few of these from classroom studies, but these concepts are always great to review. You never know what little details will enhance your understanding upon refreshing your memory.

BiomesBiomes are the general categories that humans have groups similarly structured ecological regions within. They are meant as a general rule of thumb, but the closer you look, the more you can see the even smaller ecosystem pockets can exist within the larger region. And they're constantly changing, to boot! In the case of ecosystems, understanding the broad strokes will help you understand and seek out the finer details in the living mural that is Earth.
